Rebecca graduated from Murdoch University, Perth in 2006 and began her veterinary career at The Ark Animal Hospital in 2007.
She left after 3 years to travel and then became the first full time wildlife veterinarian for the Queensland RSPCA. Rebecca recently completed a clinical residency in Zoo Animal and Wildlife Health based at Wellington Zoo and Wildbase in New Zealand.
Rebecca has a Masters in Conservation Medicine and has obtained membership by examination into the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Medicine of Australasian Wildlife. She is currently completing a thesis on Paranannizziopsis australasiensis in tuatara, (a fungal disease in a NZ reptile).
Rebecca is particularly interested in medicine and surgery of reptiles and avians.
